This policy explains what data the Aura Fitness application (“the App”, “we”) collects, how it is used and what your rights are. By using the App, you accept the practices described below.

1. Data we process

• Profile and activity data that you enter: goals, weight, workouts, meals, hydration, username.
• Health data (Apple Health / HealthKit): steps, heart rate, calories, nutrition, sleep, weight — read and/or written only with your explicit permission.
• Data synced via iCloud / CloudKit: your profile, your statistics and, for community features, your username and shared activities.
• Content sent to AI features: the text of your requests, nutrition data and food photos you choose to analyze.

2. Apple Health (HealthKit)

With your explicit permission, the App reads and/or writes Apple Health data such as steps, heart rate, calories, nutrition, sleep and weight, in order to display your statistics and power your tracking.

• HealthKit data stays on your device and, if sync is enabled, in your private iCloud account.
• It is never used for advertising or marketing purposes, nor sold, nor disclosed to third parties for such purposes.
• It is not transmitted to our AI provider, unless you explicitly choose to share a specific piece of data in an AI request.
• You can revoke access at any time from Settings > Health > Aura, or Settings > Privacy.

3. iCloud / CloudKit sync

If you enable iCloud, your profile, preferences and statistics are synced to your private iCloud container via CloudKit. For community features (leaderboard, forum, activity feed), your username and the activities you publish may be visible to other users. You stay in control of the content you share.

4. Artificial intelligence features

Some features (coach, program generation, meal plans, food photo analysis, tips) send the content of your request to a third-party AI provider in order to generate a response. This data is transmitted securely and used only to produce the requested result, not to show you advertising. Do not enter sensitive information you do not want processed.

5. Subscriptions

Purchases of the Aura Premium subscription (monthly plan at €4.99/month or yearly plan at €39.99/year with a 7-day free trial) are handled by Apple through the App Store. We neither receive nor store your payment information; Apple only tells us whether your subscription is active so we can unlock premium features. See our Terms of Use for subscription details.

6. Storage, security and retention

Your data is stored locally on your device and, if enabled, in your private iCloud account, protected by your Apple ID. Transmissions to our services (CloudKit, AI provider) are encrypted in transit. You can delete your data at any time by deleting the App and the associated iCloud data.

7. Sharing

We do not sell your data. It is shared only with: Apple (iCloud, purchases), and the AI provider for the relevant features, strictly to provide the service.
